A flag-off session for lecturers and students of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang, was officiated by YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Hj. Ahmad Rashidy Razali, Rector of UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang, as the official send-off for their overseas research attachments.
The program involves Ir. Ts. Mohamed Syazwan Osman and two students, Nur Lina Syahirah Mustapa and Anis Syuhada Saufi, who will carry out research at two leading international research institutions: Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand, and the STFC ISIS Neutron and Muon Source, Oxford, United Kingdom.
The team will be in the United Kingdom for 10 days, from 3 to 13 June 2026, to carry out research using Small-Angle Neutron Scattering (SANS). Nur Lina Syahirah Mustapa will then continue a six-month research attachment at Prince of Songkla University, Thailand, starting 1 July 2026.
This initiative reflects UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang’s commitment to strengthening international research networks, increasing students’ exposure to the global research ecosystem, and supporting academic excellence and high-impact innovation.
It is hoped that these attachments will be an important platform for broadening research expertise, strengthening strategic international collaboration and raising UiTM’s profile globally.
Best wishes to all the lecturers and students involved. Thanks to Dr Khadijah, UiTM Global liaison officer at UiTMCPP, for her strong support.
